Hey friends! Liana here. I recently had the chance to talk with someone who truly inspires me – Tammy Adcock. She's the founder of Empower Voices and a certified high conflict divorce coach. Our chat was full of hope, wisdom, and powerful stories that I just had to share with you all.

A Journey Born from Fire

When I asked Tammy what led her to become a divorce coach, she shared something that stuck with me. She said, “When you come out of the fire, you carry a bucket for the next person.” Tammy went through a tough divorce and custody battle that lasted over 10 years! Back then, people didn't talk much about things like narcissism or domestic abuse.

Tammy had to learn everything on her own. She had to be her own advocate. She had to find her way through the dark. And now? She wants to light the path for others who are just starting that journey.

More Than Just Sad Stories

What I love most about Tammy's work is that she doesn't just focus on the hard stuff. Yes, those stories need to be told, but she also wants to talk about healing and getting stronger.

She created a mini-series called “Strength Found” where she shared her own story. The response was so big that it pushed her to start Empower Voices in December. She wants to make sure no voice is silenced.

Helping Teens Before It's Too Late

One of Tammy's big projects right now is called Empower Teens. Instead of waiting until college to teach young people about healthy relationships, she's working with high school students. She's picking teens with leadership skills because, as she says, “Follow the leader. The youth are gonna follow somebody that they look up to.”

The program includes a photo shoot, pizza (because who doesn't love pizza?), and talks about real-life situations. They end the day with some simple rules: It's okay to say no. It's okay to set boundaries.

Breaking the Silence

Another thing that stood out to me is how Tammy brings these tough talks into everyday places. She wears shirts that start conversations at Target, the gas station, or the nail salon. “What's that shirt about?” people ask. And that gives her a chance to talk about domestic violence and how we can help each other.

Tammy shared some tough facts, too. In just one month this year, there were four domestic homicides in Nebraska. This isn't just a big city problem – it happens everywhere, even in small towns.

Your Voice Matters

The biggest message I got from my talk with Tammy is that everyone deserves to be heard. If you're going through something tough, your story matters. If you're not comfortable sharing your story directly, Tammy will share it for you.

Sometimes, all we need is someone to listen. And that's exactly what Tammy does.

Thanks for reading, friends. Remember, your voice matters too.
